Dr Penny Cortvriend
Consultant
I am a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, a leadership development specialist and coach. As such I have a passion for working with leaders and their teams to facilitate and increase their wellbeing, innovation and performance.
Working with AOD is both a pleasure and a privilege. The team truly works as a ‘real team’ and lives by its values. As a psychologist I truly appreciate the research and evidence based approach that is taken to the work that AOD does with teams and organisations.
I began my career as a psychologist by teaching in further education after completing my first degree. I later went on to achieve my Masters and a PhD in Organisational Psychology at Manchester Business School (MBS) where I then became a Lecturer for several years. Since then I have worked largely as an independent consultant but have also interspersed this amazing experience with leadership development and OD roles in an NHS Mental Health Trust and a national retail organisation. More recently I have been a tutor on the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Masters programme in the NHS and continue to be an Executive Associate at MBS.
I love coaching, team development work and facilitating action learning sets and other developmental events. As a consultant, I also enjoy meeting and working with a diverse range of people.
In any spare time I enjoy helping my husband renovate our country cottages nestled in the French vineyards as well as reading contemporary novels and watching films.
